Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This policy covers this website, traland.com — what it collects when you use it, and what happens to that afterwards.

It does not cover our apps. Each app is a separate piece of software with its own policy describing what that app does on your own device, and those are listed at the bottom of this page. If you are here because of an app, that policy is the one you want.

The short version

1. What we collect, and when

If you send us a message

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, your organisation (optional) and your message. We store exactly those, and nothing more from that form.

If you ask to be told when something launches

Three pages for unreleased apps — SafeCoQuery, PortScope and Moon Lunation — carry a “tell me when it ships” box. That box asks for your email address and nothing else. Those records also carry a name and a short description, but we generate both from the product name; they are not anything you typed.

With either kind of submission

We also store the address of the page you submitted from, so we know which part of the site prompted you to get in touch, and the date and time.

Every one of these forms contains a hidden field that a person never sees. If it arrives filled in, the submission is treated as automated and rejected, and nothing is stored.

Server logs

Our web server keeps ordinary access logs — IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser’s user-agent string — as essentially every web server does. These exist to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. They are not linked to form submissions, not used to build any profile of you, and not shared.

2. What we do not do

There is no analytics on this website. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no tracking pixel, no advertising network, no session recorder, no A/B testing tool, no social media SDK, no “like” or “share” buttons that phone home. There is no account to create and no profile of you anywhere.

This is verifiable rather than asserted: view the page source of any page on this site and look at what it loads.

3. Why we hold it

WhatWhyLawful basis
Contact form details To read your message and reply to it Your request — we cannot answer you otherwise
Launch-notification address To email you once, when that app is released Your consent, given by submitting the form
Server logs Keeping the site up and secure Our legitimate interest in operating it

We do not use your address for any purpose other than the one you gave it for. Sending you an email about a different product because you asked about this one is exactly the thing we do not do.

4. Who else is involved

We are a small studio and we do not have a marketing stack. These are the only third parties that come anywhere near your data, and what each one is for:

WhoWhat they see
Cloudflare All traffic to this site passes through Cloudflare before reaching our server, so it sees your IP address and the pages you request. It protects the site and serves it quickly.
Brevo Delivers the notification email that tells us a form was submitted, so it handles the contents of that message in transit.
Google Two things. Our own mailbox — where your message arrives — is hosted by Google. And every page on this site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, disclosing your IP address and user-agent to Google, on every page, whether or not you ever fill in a form.

That is the complete list. Nothing is sold, rented or passed to anyone for their own marketing.

5. How long we keep it

There is currently no automatic deletion. An enquiry stays in our database until we delete it, and we would rather say so plainly than quote a retention period we do not actually enforce.

In practice we keep an enquiry while it is still useful — to answer you, or to send the one launch email you asked for. Ask us to delete yours and we will, and we will confirm when it is done.

6. Cookies

This site sets two cookies, and only on pages that can accept a form submission:

CookieWhat it does
tralandcom-session Identifies your browsing session so a form submission can be matched to the page that produced it. Expires after two hours.
XSRF-TOKEN A security token that stops another website from submitting our forms on your behalf. Expires after two hours.

Both are strictly functional. Neither identifies you, follows you between sites, or survives longer than the session it belongs to. There are no analytics or advertising cookies on this site, which is why you have not been asked to consent to any.

This page sets no cookies at all — it carries no form, so it does not need a session. You can confirm that in your browser’s developer tools.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. There is no form for this and no account to log into: email support@traland.com and a person will do it.

If you are in the UK or the EEA, these are rights you have under data protection law rather than a courtesy, and they include the right to complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

8. Children

This website is not directed at children. It has no account system, and the only information it ever collects is what an adult chooses to type into a contact form.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change ever meant collecting something new, it would be described here before it started, not after.

10. Contact

support@traland.com, or the contact form. We aim to reply within one business day.

Our apps have their own policies

Each describes what that app does on your own device, which is a different question from what this website does:
