A focused screen recorder for Mac
ScreenCapturePro records any region of your screen, with the sound your Mac is playing. Pause when you need to, stop automatically if you like, and save a clean MP4 or MOV.
Draw a box. Press Record.
- Choose Select Region and drag a rectangle over the part of the screen you want. Press Esc to cancel.
- Pick MP4 or MOV, and optionally an auto-stop time.
- Press Record. The window shows the elapsed time and the file size as it grows. Pause and resume whenever you like; paused time is not recorded.
- Press Stop. The recording is saved where you chose; use Show in Finder or Open to find it.

Everything you need, nothing you don’t
- Record any region of the screen, down to the exact pixels
- System audio, in sync with the picture. It is captured before the volume control, so it still records when your speakers are muted
- Pause and resume; paused time is not written to the file
- Auto-stop after a number of seconds or minutes, with a countdown that turns orange for the last 10 seconds
- MP4 or MOV, H.264 video with AAC audio, saved wherever you choose in the save dialog
- Show in Finder and Open as soon as it is saved
Quick, clean recordings
Tutorials and walkthroughs
Record just the app or the part of a window you are explaining, not your whole desktop.
Product demos
Show a feature with its sound, then trim or share the MP4 anywhere.
Bug reports
Capture exactly what happened and send a short clip instead of a long description.
Your recordings stay on your Mac
ScreenCapturePro has no account, no analytics and no network access at all: the app is sandboxed and is not even granted a network connection. A recording is written only to the place you choose in the save dialog. The only permission it asks for is macOS Screen Recording.
